Can I play a MP3 Player in my car without using a FM transmitter?

I want to play my mp3 player through my car stereos and couldn’t find anything online about (if it exists) someting that plugs into the Cigarette Lighter and has a headphone jack end so I can plug it into MP3 player. My CD player is broken and so I can’t listen to the radio either which is why I can’t use a FM transmitter.

Simply purchase an inexpensive Cassette Adapter. One of those Cassettes with a wired attached to it and the other end hooks up to the headphone jack part of your MP3 player.

If you dont have a cassette player in your car then check if you have an AUX “Auxiliry” plug. You will need to go to Radio Shack and purchase another inexpensive double sided audio cord. Both sides are like the part that fits into your MP3 player. Now simply switch to AUX mode on your receiver.

None of the above? Youll have to purchase a new or used receiver.

BTW. Theres no way of transmitting audio via a car lighter. The Car lighter port simply supplies power.
