itunes mp3 cd folders
how does one transfer music from windows media player to itunes?

i have an mp3 player that is not an ipod and it uses windows media player. conciquently i have put all the music from my cds on windows media player. i am considering buying an ipod, but understand that i will not be able to put my music on it from windows media player, and i dont want to have to rip all my cd’s into itunes after doing the same with windows media player. i have tried copying the songs into the tines folder but they are the wrong format. how can i change that?

YES YOU CAN ADD THEM TO ITUNES!!! FIRST GO TO WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER AND IF YOU DO NOT KNOW WHERE THE FILES OF THE MUSIC IS AT RIGHT CLICK ON open file location. THEN YOU CAN TRY PUTTING ALL THE MUSIC INTO ONE FOLDER IF THEY ARE NOT YET IN ONE FOLDER. tHEN GO TO ITUNES CLICK ON file/add folder to library/ Then find the folder with all your music in it. Then itunes shouls add all your music to the itunes library if its in the correct format(mp3s,aac, and other files would work.) If the files are not the correct format itunes can convert them.
