2000 nissan maxima ipod hookup?
I just bought a 2000 nissan maxima and it has a ipod hookup inside it, its a cord that looks as though it wired somewhere in the back of the stereo. I forgot to ask to guy how to work that part of the car but I was more concerned about other aspects of the car and not that you. But It has the usb looking connection where you would charge your ipod and then it also has the connection for if I had a mp3 player. I was wondering if anyone knew how this works because I cannot get it to play my ipod songs even though I know it is connected because when I plug in my ipod it begins to charge. would I need to plug in both connection into the ipod or just one and what source would I use. By the way I have the factory bose deck installed.
Late model Max have just one I-Pod plug. And the radio knows when a I-pod is plugged in. Using the steering wheel controls and the mode button to switch songs. However your earlier car may also need a 1/8″ phone plug to the aux input to make music. Be careful taking your eyes off of the road.
