Media Player Codec error message C00D1199?
My friend emailed me a track that won’t play on Windows media player, Quick time, or Winamp… I receive a codec error when I try playing it. The odd thing is that it shows the file type as MP3, but it’s not in a time length format, it says 6.09 MB. I asked him if he could get it to play on his PC and he said NO, and that he was hoping I could. I guess it’s a local band or something.
Just wondering if there is some type of free converter I can download to decompress it to a normal mp3 format. It’s showing MP3 at the time, but in a MB format.
I tried searching around and haven’t found anything that works.

the file probably has metadata errors or courrupt data in it. you can try opening from a sound editor and save as another mp3 file. audacity audio editor is free: http://audacity.sourceforge.net/
