why doesn’t divx download on my imac g4?
I tried to download divx for this imac g4 and as i was downloading it… this popped up
“divx for mac cannot be installed on this computer . divx for mac 7.1 only runs on Macintoshes with intel processors.”
need help in either finding a program that would help watch my movies like mks. mp3 mpeg etc……

Your mac is using an older totally different cpu than the new ones, so now most programs for mac are made to run on Intel instead of the older Power PC (G4, G5) cpus.
Try downloading the latest version of quicktime that will run on your mac, but if that doesn’t work try to install this:
http://www.3ivx.com/download/macos.html
It should let you play the divx movies.
