How is it possible to store 900 songs in 1 GB card?
In many SE and Nokia phone ads, it is being claimed that u can store upto 900 songs in a 1Gb card. Is that possible?? the average size of a mp3 song is 4-7MB and give this size, I dont see storing more than 300 songs… Is there any S/w which enables us to achieve this compression without loss of any quality? If so what are the best mp3 lossless compression s/w ?
Thanks in advance
Although, the sound will not be in good quality, it is very possible to store that much mp3 songs in 1GB. How? Normally burnt and downloaded mp3 songs run at 128kbps at a good quality, 96kbps for average quality, 192kbps if you want a better quality, and 256kbps at best quality. But the latter two (192 and 256) comes out in a bigger file, more mb. So to answer your question, use the lowest conversion rate (if your cd ripper has it, mine doesn’t) which is 64kbps when ripping your songs. That’s how you acquire 900 mp3 songs in 1GB. In your cd ripper, click tools click options, click conversion, choose 64kbps if you have one.
