Mp3 Recorder Line Input

mp3 recorder line input
My laptop doesn’t have ‘stereo mix’ how can I record what’s playing on it?

I have a program that plays sounds and relaxation noises, and I’d love to put them on to my mp3 player, but the program itself does not have the option to export the sounds as mp3s.

On my PC I used to be able to select Stereo Mix as the recording device and then record whatever was playing onto a sound recorder and that worked fine. But my laptop only has either Microphone or Line-In as the possible recording inputs.

I tried Line-In but that didn’t work, is there any way to record whatever sound is playing on my computer, maybe a program that can do this? Thank you for your help.

I personally use goldwave sound editor but that is not free so you can try the link below. In your Sound properties you should find the stereo mixer there and check it to enable it and in the recording program select the input and see what happens. Good luck.
