Windows Vista sound recorder can’t be used without a recording device?
I used to use windows sound recorder to edit the length of .mp3s for my ring tones. Now I have Windows Vista and when I go to open the sound recorder, I can’t use it. It tells me I don’t have a recording device (such as a microphone) and won’t let me do anything.
I want it just to split .mp3 files and edit them to shorter clips. Is there a way around this OR a very simplistic free program for such a use? Possibly a place I can download the older version of sound recorder?
