I need to convert about 5,000 songs from wma lossless to Flac and/or MP3. What is the best newbie converter?
I have about 5000 songs on my computer that I want to move over to my newly installed media player. The player will not recognize WMA Lossless so I need to convert all my music from that format to either Flac(preferred) or MP3s. Would you please recommend an easy to use converter, shareware, freeware or pay, that can bath convert my files please?
iTunes does .wma to .mp3 conversions.

& then once its up & running go to Edit, then Preferences & follow the buttons in this pic

Then either drag & drop the songs into the iTunes library or go to File, then Add File/Folder To Library (whichever one is appropriate in this instance) and select & click OK.
iTunes will automatically convert them.
NB This will take a while based on how many songs you said (5000) so don’t expect it to be a 5 minute deal.
